Needa learn how to sew

I REALLY should learn how to sew. Reasons:

  • Can mend/repair my own clothes instead of fueling capitalism every time I need to look presentable
  • Can make clothes that fit my body the way I desire or tailor thrifted pieces instead of paying even more to have someone else tailor them
  • Can make clothes that look the way I want them to instead of settling for (what I believe to be) mediocre pieces just because it's all I can find

    • Things currently stopping me:

  • I live in a dorm room year-round (disowned as a youth, still a university student), which limits my storage space for materials
  • Sewing machines are expensive
  • I don't exactly know how I'd learn... I wanna just say YouTube and friends, but wtf do I know

    • Maybe I should take it up during Winter break since I usually don't have anything to do around that time of the year... but at that point, I'd start knitting/crocheting bc it's cold out LOL

    I'll update this if I start to learn/gather materials!
